Frequently asked questions

When will I receive my Zumbase stand?

Orders are typically shipped within 1-3 business days after the order is placed, business days are Monday through Friday. You should receive your stand 3-5 shipping days from the time when the order is shipped. Postal service shipping days are typically Monday through Saturday, with no shipping occurring on holidays per postal service policies. Orders are shipped from California Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm PST.

How do assemble my stand?

Follow these steps to assemble your stand: 1. Place the round base on an even, stable surface. 2. Take the straight rod and screw it clockwise into the base; note that there is a smaller rod nested inside the larger one (this allows the stand to telescope out) 3. Turn the stand upside down so that the smaller rod comes out of the larger one and turn the collar clockwise to tighten the smaller rod in place (it needs to be stable for the next step!) 4. Screw the curved neck piece onto the smaller rod 5. IMPORTANT - loosen the ball joint on the phone clamp piece by turning it counter-clockwise (this is the part that holds the phone and it has a circular "sunburst" connector on the back) until it snaps easily onto the ball at the top of the curved neck 6. Please be careful not to use too much force! If it is difficult to snap the ball joint together please loosen the connector more by turning it counter-clockwise If there are difficulties assembling the stand please email and we will be glad to help!

What is the largest size the stand will hold?

The gripping arm of the stand will hold a phone or device that is 3.5" (inches) wide at the most. Any devices larger than that will not fit in the phone stand grip. Phone cases may make the phone too large to fit in the stand or may make it not sit securely in the phone stand cradle.

Will it hold a tablet or digital reader?

The Zumbase is not designed for tablets, laptops, digital readers, or other devices that are wider than 3.5" or that are heavier than typical handheld phones.

How do I turn my phone horizontal/vertical?

Adjust the clasp at the back of the phone grip by turning it counter-clockwise to loosen it slightly, then adjust to device to the desired angle. Afterwards, tighten the clasp by turning it clockwise until the grip does not move when you let go.

Why does my phone stand look slightly different than the images?

We are currently shipping an updated version of the stand that utilizes a ball joint instead of a simple up/down neck. This new design looks slightly different from the photos on the main page but functions similarly (better). We consider the existing images to be an accurate representation of the product despite the different joint used on the neck.
